iMoney Consensus Award Winners Wholesale Fund

An open-ended innovation fund investing in technology companies with a direct link to the Consensus Awards. Open to wholesale clients only.

What the Fund invests in

The Fund selectively invests in companies with a direct connection to the Consensus Awards:

  • recent award winners
  • highly commended entrants
  • companies founded by past award recipients

It invests across three stages, listed, mid-stage and early-stage, with a cash and ETF reserve for liquidity. That gives investors a diversified portfolio of innovation companies, each of which has been through independent expert assessment.

Open for seed capital. The Fund is established and open to wholesale investors, with a seed-phase target of $20 million. It has not yet made investments, so the allocations on this site are targets, not current holdings.

The Consensus Awards

Consensus Pty Ltd has run the Consensus Awards since 1999, recognising excellence in Australian and New Zealand technology. Consensus reports that more than 1,200 technologies have been evaluated and more than 200 awards made since 2000. More about the Awards at consensus.com.au.

Past recipients include Atlassian, WiseTech Global and Integrated Research, all recognised long before they became global businesses.

Consensus has more than 160 registered judges, independent experts across all industry sectors. A panel is formed for each assessment so the judges’ expertise matches the technology being reviewed.

A Consensus Award is not a guarantee of a company’s future success or of the Fund’s investment performance.

“The Consensus Awards started in 1999 with a focus of recognising excellence. Each program features clearly defined judging criteria, fully independent judges and Awards made on merit.”

Julian Day, Founder and CEO, Consensus Awards

Risks to understand

The Fund invests in growth and early-stage companies, which carry higher risk than established listed businesses. Before investing, read the Information Memorandum in full, including its section on risks.

Capital at risk

The value of your investment can fall, and you may get back less than you invested. Returns are not guaranteed.

Unlisted investments

Early and mid-stage companies can be hard to value and to sell. Some may fail.

Liquidity

Redemptions depend on the Fund’s liquid assets and the terms of the Information Memorandum, and may be delayed or limited.
